The VAT number checker, the format validators and the consistency checker can be used on this site without signing up or paying anything. The free monthly allowance above is for the API, where you need a key.
Is there a subscription? No. You buy credits when you want them; nothing renews on its own and there is nothing to cancel.
Do credits expire? No. A block you bought a year ago is still spendable.
What happens when I run out? Requests are refused with a clear error rather than silently billed. You buy another block when you choose to.
Do failed checks cost a credit? A validation that returns a verdict costs its credit — the work was done, and a fail is the answer you were paying for. Requests that error on our side are not charged.
